About Us

The Gateway Chapter is a part of the broader Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE).

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers is a non-profit professional association that provides technical leadership for the telecommunications industry and serves its members through professional development, standards, certification, and information.

Located in the heart of the Midwest, St. Louis, Missouri,  

the Gateway Chapter serves SCTE members from Iowa, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.

We strive to assist in the professional development of our members though virtual and in-person training, industry certifications, and vendor events across the country.​​

Since 1969, SCTE has continually expanded its resources and services to meet the changing needs of its members in a rapidly evolving industry.  SCTE has more than 68 chapters and meeting groups, and over 3,000 cable telecommunications professionals hold SCTE technical certifications. The Society continues to serve its diverse membership and the industry by offering a wide variety of educational programs and services.

Gateway Chapter has been recognized as the Chapter of the year in 2022 and 2023.
